Reception - P2 had a great trip to Armagh County Museum today to learn about toys from the past, linking to their topic of Toys which was studied before Christmas.
First, we found out about old toys and new toys. Some toys from the past were made from wood, metal or china, while many modern toys are made from plastic. It was real interesting to touch and compare the different materials.
One of our favourite toys was the Jack in the Box.
We also got to play with lots of other toys from the past, looking at how they have changed over time.
We then got to make our own toy using a wooden peg to create a doll or a plane. We were very creative and proud of our inventions!
To finish the day, we enjoyed a visit to the park at the Palace Stables.
It was a wonderful day of learning and a brilliant way to finish our Toys topic.
