Religious Education

Newtownhamilton Primary School is proud to be a school with a Christian ethos.
We begin each week with a whole-school assembly, where we sing songs, enjoy an object-based Bible lesson, and start the week with prayer.
Every Friday, we are pleased to welcome a visiting minister who shares a thought from God’s Word with our pupils.
Throughout the year, we are delighted to host special assemblies and Bible clubs led by Joyce Walsh (CEF), Gareth and Lindsay Gwynne (CEF), and Colin Tinsley (Hope for Youth Ministries), enriching our spiritual learning.
As a whole school, we participate in the Postal Bible School’s Bibletime Programme, which explores a wide range of Bible stories and teachings.
Each year, we also welcome local ministers for an RE visitation. During this special event, pupils showcase their musical talents and reflect on what they have learned through the Bibletime lessons.
